Katie’s story told on video. A survivor of suicide who’s mental health challenges went unrecognised, leading to her being imprisoned. She’s also faced questions about her role as a mother and battled with her own negative self-talk.

Yet, Katie has not let it define her, and she carries on living/holding out hope, for herself, her wife and her son. She tries to find the little yet important pleasures in everyday life including being in nature, and expressing herself through creativity.

The rose being created in the film reminds us that we are all uniquely beautiful including our thorns.
