Co-production Week 2026

Coproduction Week is an annual campaign organised by the Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE) that takes place from Monday 29th June to Friday 3rd July. The theme for this year is care equity focusing on ensuring equal access to high-quality social care for everyone regardless of their background identity or circumstances.

What is Co-production?

In the simplest of terms, co-production means professionals working with people with lived experience to do or change something. Co-production is recommended in law and has been shown to help organisations and services improve support to individuals and at a system-wide level. Sheffield Flourish believes in the definition of co-production as outlined by the Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE):

“Co-production is not just a word, it’s not just a concept. It is a meeting of minds coming together to find a shared solution. In practice, it involves people who use services being consulted, included and working together from the start to the end of any project that affects them”

We are in the process of setting up a Co-production mailing list for people interested in taking part in any co-production work either we are running or our partners are running. We will then circulate any co-production opportunities to people on the list.

If you would like to sign up to this then please contact us on [email protected] If you don’t have an email address but would still like to be informed, then contact us on:
