Lucy-Paige Hamilton: Travelling Light

Lucy's spoken word poem takes us through the movements of her mind, as she considers her eating disorder and everything that goes with it.

“Travelling Light is a spoken word poem that highlights some of the coping mechanisms someone living with an eating disorder might adopt. It tries to represent not only the thoughts of the person dealing with anorexia, but also their reflections on how their behaviour might be perceived, and not necessarily understood, by friends and family. The speaker has recently returned from her latest back-packing trip and attempts to convince others that she is recovering well.”
