You’re Invited: Walkaround of Newly Renovated Maple Ward

Sheffield Health Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust are inviting their voluntary and community organisation colleagues, and people with lived experience of mental ill-health to join them on a series of Walkaround Dates. Below is the invitation and we recommend you go along if you can:
“We’re excited to welcome you to explore our newly refurbished mental health inpatient ward at Sheffield Health Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. Whether you have always wondered what an inpatient ward looks like or whether you want to see the transformation of Maple first-hand, this is an opportunity to have a sneaky peak and learn about the improvements that have been designed to enhance patient care and wellbeing.
What are some of the new features?
· Soundproofed bedrooms and silent alarms for a calmer environment · Open nurse stations to encourage connection and visibility
· CoWin interactive screens in bedrooms, de-escalation room and relaxation room for added patient choice and autonomy
· Patient-controlled heating and lighting in bedrooms
· Spacious open-plan layout with local artwork throughout
Walkaround Dates and times
· 21st November 10-12am or 1-3pm
· 26th November 10-12am or 1-3pm
· 28th November 10-12am or 1-3pm
For: Staff of Sheffield Health Partnership University, voluntary and community organisation colleagues, and people with lived experience of mental ill-health.
· 3rd December sessions 10-12am or 1-3pm
A specially designed session for people who are neurodivergent, with adjustments to support sensory needs.
