Kay Aitch: inspiration from Ecclesall Woods

Kay Aitch: inspiration from Ecclesall Woods

“I am inspired by day to day observation – presently I am spending a good deal of my time in Ecclesall Woods, therefore my work is increasingly inspired by trees. Two recent acrylic paintings which I have produced, shown below, are examples of my present direction.

“The image – Where are We Going – may not look as though it was drawn from observation but in fact did start with a drawing of a 3D piece which I had made.  I exhibited both paintings at the Broomhill Festival in June.”
