Growth Through Growing

Come garden on a Friday Morning

We are really hitting mid season at Oasis Gardening, getting our last lot of plants in the ground and watching them explode into life. The tomatoes in our polytunnels are growing at least 10cm a week!

We have two volunteer sessions every week; Tuesday afternoon and Friday morning. We’d love to welcome new volunteers especially on a Friday. It starts at 9:30am, until 12:30pm in Fulwood, easily accessed from the 120 and 83A buses. We have a range of tasks to get involved with from sowing seeds, weeding beds and watering to clearing areas and building woodwork. One of the most rewarding times is at harvest time. Over the next few months we will be picking courgettes and tomatoes and taking salads home with us.

Oasis is enjoyed for it’s sense of community, we work together and learn from each other and through the process gain confidence. We don’t expect anyone to come with skills to the project, but be willing to work with others and join in. Everyone has their own struggles so we don’t everyone to come every week, but it’s a great place to relax, meet other people and get your hands in contact with nature.

If you’d like to come down please get in touch with us by emailing [email protected] or call 07926097027
