Sheffield Flourish: our new charity name
For those of you who don’t already know, Sheffield Flourish was set up by charity Recovery Enterprises. The charity was founded in 2012 by a group of people who are passionate about using innovative approaches to improve mental health in Sheffield. It’s grown quickly, and now supports a handful of community enterprises, as well as two websites: Sheffield Flourish and the Sheffield Mental Health Guide.
In July 2016 Recovery Enterprises launched the Sheffield Flourish website, the community hub you’re looking at now which is also complemented by real life activities like our monthly events.
As time has passed and the Sheffield Flourish hub has been growing we’ve realised that it’s become a strong and powerful identity which fits beautifully with our mission and values.
In the next few months we’ll be changing our working name to Sheffield Flourish and bringing all our work together under the same umbrella including our support to grassroots community enterprises such as CAST, Oasis and Brunsmeer Awareness FC.
We look forward to building on the successes of Recovery Enterprises with our new name, and working with people from across the city to emulate what we stand for.
