Yesterday I had a mom
This morning I’ve got none
Dad had a lovely wife
Now only lonely life
Sister is bereft
Like there’s been a theft
My niece is left heartbroken
Too many loved ones not woken
My sons glad she’s not suffering
Would rather remember her laughing
My daughter is cut up
Getting comfort from her pup
My husband is distressed
He really needs a rest
Carers in her nursing home
Missing her hair to comb
Life will never be the same
For all her loved ones left in pain
