My name is Nila Wills and I have worked at Sheffield Flourish since April 2017.
I have worked on the Sheffield Mental Health Guide since 2013 and I moved over to Sheffield Flourish with the project in the latest round of funding. My role here includes what I did before: updating the Sheffield Mental Health Guide and signposting people to mental health services/information. It is also gradually evolving to include other areas of work that support Sheffield Flourish and its wider remit.
I think it’s a really positive step that the next version of the Sheffield Mental Health Guide is being co-produced and that the people who use it can shape what it looks like and how it works. I am enjoying being part of that process and I’m looking forward to seeing the final product in a few months time. I like working in a small team although that can also bring interesting challenges, especially as everyone here works part-time.
I have worked in the voluntary sector for the last 18 years working for various non-profit organisations. I am also a qualified counsellor with a Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling and I am currently training to become a psychotherapist.
